In 2020, despite climatic challenges, the production of certain perennial crops such as cherries, sour cherries, plums, and pears saw significant increases, with cherry and sour cherry production growing by over 22% and 12% respectively. Plum production also surged due to expanded harvested areas and higher average yields. However, the production of apples, peaches, apricots, raspberries, wine and table grapes experienced declines ranging from 1.8% to 60.2%. The cost of apples rose by 4.5% despite the reduced production. The operational monitoring report also noted that the cost of walnuts was not calculated as it was included in the operational monitoring for the first time in the previous year, and the harvest amounted to nearly 9.1 thousand tons.
