The global pepper market has seen a slight increase in prices for black and white pepper, continuing a two-day trend after a prolonged period of stability. However, experts warn that this increase might be due to speculators, with a potential decrease in prices expected in the medium term due to the stronger USD and expected increase in interest rates. In Vietnam, the domestic pepper market has surged, reaching up to 62,000 VND/kg, while coffee prices have decreased. The export value of Vietnamese pepper has seen fluctuations, with increases in some markets and decreases in others compared to the previous year and quarter.
