The article reports an increase in the price of pepper in Vietnam and the import of rubber by Turkey and China. In Vietnam, the price of pepper has risen in several provinces, with ranges from 72,000 VND/kg to 74,500 VND/kg. Meanwhile, in Turkey, pepper imports surged by 64.2% in volume and 65.4% in value in the first quarter of 2021 compared to the same period in 2020, with the average import price per ton reaching $2,021. In China, the price of rubber for May delivery on the TOCOM and SHFE exchanges increased by 0.19% and 0.85% respectively. From January to April 2021, China imported a mixture of natural and synthetic rubber, with Vietnam being the second largest supplier, increasing its market share to 36.27% of the total import value, up from 23.03% in the same period last year.
