As of March 30, 2025, global pepper prices remain high due to unfavorable weather conditions in key producing countries like Brazil and Indonesia, leading to limited supply and an estimated global pepper output of 520,000 tons, while consumption demand is estimated at 530,000 tons. In Vietnam, domestic pepper prices are stable around 160,000 VND/kg due to farmers hoarding their stocks and shifting towards organic production to meet international market requirements. The Vietnamese pepper industry is experiencing positive changes, with export businesses actively purchasing to ensure supply for foreign partners, contributing to the stability and high prices of pepper in the domestic and international markets.
