At a domestic level, pepper prices in Vietnam are mostly stable, with a slight decrease in some provinces like Dak Lak, Gia Lai, Dak Nong, and Dong Nai by 500 VND/kg. The export prices of pepper from India have experienced a significant increase of 47% in the first quarter of 2021 compared to the same period in 2020, reaching 24.7 million USD. The US remains a key market for Indian pepper, accounting for 57% of exports. Additionally, the global spice market is projected to grow at a CAGR of 6.5%, reaching USD 9.7 billion by 2027, driven by the rising demand for naturally flavored food products and increased weekend food spending by millennials.
