Between January and August of this year, Peru's agricultural exports experienced a 23.5% increase compared to the same period in 2021, totaling USD 6,113 million, as reported by the Ministry of Agrarian Development and Irrigation. This growth is attributed to traditional exports like unroasted coffee and cane molasses, and non-traditional exports such as avocados, grapes, and cranberries, which saw significant increases in demand. The top export destinations included the United States, Holland, and Spain. The country's agricultural trade balance showed a surplus of USD 1,493 million, a 62% increase from the previous year, indicating a robust performance in the agricultural sector.
