In the first three weeks of March this year, Peruvian apple exports saw a dramatic decline, dropping by 84% to a total of 265 tons compared to the same timeframe in 2023. The exports primarily consisted of fresh apples, which made up 80% of the total, while the remaining 20% were processed into juice. Colombia emerged as the leading consumer of these exports, accounting for 80% of the total volume, with the Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico each taking a 10% share. Key shippers during this period included Transitex – Tránsitos de Extremadura Perú S.A.C., Rucaray S.A., Ulog Perú S.A., and Multifoods S.A.C.
