In February 2024, Peru experienced a significant boost in its pallar exports, witnessing a 12% increase from the previous year, with a total of 504 tons exported. The United States emerged as the primary market, accounting for nearly half of these exports, followed by Turkey, Poland, Spain, and Lebanon. Leading the charge in this export surge was Brolem Company S.A.C., which was responsible for 23.5% of the total exports. Notably, all pallares were exported in their fresh state, highlighting the emphasis on quality and freshness that Peruvian products are known for in the international market.
