In the first quarter of 2025, Peruvian pitahaya exports saw a significant increase, with a total of 626 tons earning US$1.54 million, marking a five-fold increase in volume and a four-fold increase in value compared to the same period in the previous year. Despite this, the average price per kilogram dropped by 16% from US$2.92 in 2024 to US$2.45 in 2025. The main exporters were Camposol S.A., Fruitxchange S.A.C., and Dragon Fruit Export S.A.C., with Spain being the primary market. Over 99% of the exports were fresh pitahaya.
