Between January and June of this year, Peru experienced a significant decrease in melon seed exports, with only 26,064 kilos exported worth US $ 8,210,188, a decrease from 42,336 kilos worth US $ 15,157,056 in the same period of 2020. The Netherlands was the primary recipient of these exports, accounting for 72% of the total shipments, followed by the United States, Spain, Chile, Japan, and others. The main companies involved in these exports were Natucultura SA, Monsanto Perú SA, HM Clause SAC, TPS Semillas SAC, Agroindustrias AIB SA, and Agroseed del Perú SAC.
