The head of Peru's Ministry of Agrarian Development and Irrigation, Ángel Manero Campos, is planning to visit China from July 1 to 4 at the invitation of China's Ministry of Agriculture. The visit aims to initiate discussions for Peru's potential export of pork and beef to China. China consumes 70 million tons of meat annually, and Peru's long-term goal is to export one million tons to the Chinese market, which is projected to generate over US$5 billion in revenue.
