Peru's national potato production in October saw a decrease of 13.3% in 2022 compared to the previous year, largely due to reduced harvested areas affected by poor water conditions, particularly in several departments. Despite this, the majority of the production was concentrated in Ica, Lambayeque, and Piura. On the other hand, grape production saw a growth of 22.8% influenced by favorable thermal conditions, with Ica, Lambayeque, and Piura contributing 87.4% to the national total. Asparagus production also saw a 4.7% increase, largely due to good weather behavior in Lima and Ica, and poultry production increased by 1.4% due to higher placement of chickens, laying hens, and fattening turkeys in various departments.
