This is Peru's first traditional agricultural export product and ranks fourth among national agro-exports, behind only blueberries, grapes, and avocados. In 2024, coffee exports exceeded US$ 1.100 million and consolidated its presence in 52 international markets thanks to its quality, flavor, and traceability. This chain involves more than 220,000 producing families and generates direct and indirect employment for over two million Peruvians, mainly in rural areas. Currently, coffee is cultivated on 427,000 hectares distributed across 15 regions, with Junín, San Martín, Cajamarca, Cusco, Amazonas, Huánuco, and Pasco being the highest in production and area.
