Peru's fruit exports have seen a significant increase over the past decade, reaching $ 3.8 billion in 2020 and making the country one of the top 10 fruit exporting nations in the world since 2017. The growth is primarily driven by grapes, blueberries, and avocados, with the United States and the EU-28 accounting for over 75% of exports. Peru's table grape production has grown continuously since 2001, nearly fivefold, and has increased its market share in the Southern Hemisphere, challenging Chile's dominance. The country ships to over 50 countries and has seen a doubling of US table grape imports over the past five years, with the value exceeding $ 480 million in 2019.
