Peru is gearing up to export frozen fruits like avocados, blueberries, and mangoes to China, aiming at restaurants, hotels, and supermarkets. This move is expected to boost agro-exports by at least 30%, adding around US$ 100 million next year. With a market of 1.4 billion consumers, China is vital for Peruvian agro-exports, which currently amount to US$ 450 million annually. The new port of Chancay, starting operations this year, will lower freight costs and transit times, enhancing exports. Additionally, the Foreign Ministry has set health protocols for exporting table grapes and other products to China.
