Peru reaches agreements for export of mandarins to Vietnam

The Ministry of Agrarian Development and Irrigation (Midagri) announced that, thanks to a technical meeting between phytosanitary authorities of Peru and Vietnam, the necessary phytosanitary protocols have been established for the export of fresh mandarins to this important Asian market. This opening represents a great opportunity, since Vietnam has a potential market of nearly 100 million consumers. “It is important that the National Agrarian Health Service (Senasa), as a strategic arm of Midagri, continues to manage access to new markets to increase the commercial opportunities of Peruvian producers and continue growing in agro-exports,” said the head of the sector, Ángel Manero Campos.
