Peru is emerging as a leading exporter of blueberries, with Proarandanos recently releasing data that highlights the diversity in varieties and markets. The data, collected up to week 33 of the 2024-25 campaign, reveals that the United States, Europe, and China are the primary markets, with Sekoya POP, Ventura, and Biloxi varieties being the most exported. The FCM14-052 (Sekoya Pop) variety is particularly notable for its dominance. Besides these, the Arana and Ridley (Eureka Sunrise) varieties have found success in specific markets, indicating a diverse and strategic approach to blueberry exports. This strategy, supported by innovation and adaptation to market preferences, positions Peru favorably in the global blueberry market.
