Peru's fig exports in the first half of 2023 declined significantly compared to the same period in 2022, with a decrease in both quantity and value. The United States was the main destination for Peruvian figs, accounting for 40% of total shipments, followed by the Netherlands and the United Kingdom. Exportadora Frutícola del Sur SAC stood out as the leading company in fig exports, with sales of US$ 1.4 million at a value of US$ 5.84 per kilo.
