Peruvian achiote exports totaled US$ 15.5 million between January and October

(Agraria.pe) Between January and October of this year, Peru exported 433,457 kilos of annatto for an FOB value of US$ 15,544,312. These figures reveal a slight decrease in volume but increase in value from the 457,861 kilos shipped in the same period of 2022 for US$ 12,877,173. According to a report from the consulting firm Agrodata, the main destination of these shipments in the period corresponding to 2023 was the United States, where placements for US$ 4,863,000 were achieved. Next came Japan with US$1,398,000, China with US$1,217,000, Egypt with US$1,099,000, Germany with US$635,000, the Netherlands with US$633,000 and Chile with US$592,000.
