Peruvian coffee exports grew almost three times in volume and more than tripled in value in January 2024

(Agraria.pe) Peru exported 27,129 tons of coffee for US$ 156 million in January of this year, that is, almost three times more in volume and more than triple in value than the same month of 2023. With this, this monthly exported value It surpassed all monthly shipments in 2023, with October's shipment being US$141 million, the highest of that year. The agro-exporters were in charge of supplying 34 destinations, of which the three that stood out the most were Belgium, with a participation of 24%; followed by the United States, with 21%; and Germany, with 11%. It should be noted that the Belgian market had a positive impact this year, taking first place as a purchasing country, which had not been seen in any month in recent years.
