Between January and September of 2024, Peruvian coffee exports saw a significant increase, reaching a total of US$ 739 million, a 68.7% increase from the previous year. This growth places Peru as the ninth largest exporter of unroasted coffee globally, bringing in over 820 million dollars and more than 200 thousand tons. The Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism (Mincetur) is working with coffee associations to further boost the industry through the Productive Export Route (RPE), providing specialized training and technical assistance to over 145 producer organizations and MSMEs, benefiting over 35 thousand coffee growers. The goal is to further diversify markets and establish Peruvian coffee as a high-quality, sustainable specialty coffee through initiatives such as Expocafé Perú 2024 and the sectorial brand Cafés del Perú.
