Between week 40 of 2022 and week 21 of 2023, Peru experienced a 18.03% decrease in frozen mango exports, totaling 50,000 tons, compared to the previous campaign. Despite this, the Peruvian Association of Mango Producers and Exporters (APEM) reports a 22% increase in the value of these exports to $135 million from January to September 2022. Frozen mango is the leading frozen fruit exported by Peru, accounting for 52% of total frozen fruit exports. The III Digital Forum of Mango of Peru is scheduled for June 21 to discuss industry trends and quality enhancement.
