After completing the negotiations between the specialists of the health authorities of both countries recently, the technical team of the Department of Agriculture, Water and Environment of the Australian government, confirmed the harmonization of the health certificates for the export of octopus, eel and squid Peruvians to their country. The executive president of Sanipes, Johnny Marchán, pointed out that from now on they can carry out the transactions of these national products to Australia, which will allow diversifying the trade of said hydrobiological species to the market of the huge oceanic country. "The entry of these three new species to the Australian market will allow to increase the commercial exchange between our nations, which since the signing of the Free Trade Agreement (TLC, 2009) has been growing in the order of 5% as an annual average, and that showed an outstanding increase of 37.1% in the last quarter of 2020 ”, highlighted Marchán.
