In March 2024, Peruvian onion exports saw a significant increase of 28.9%, totaling 4,118 tons compared to the same month in 2023. The U.S. and Spain were the primary markets, accounting for 37.2% and 31.4% of the exports, respectively. The yellow variety was the most exported, making up 56.5% of the total. Leading the export efforts were companies such as Mentor Agro Productos S.A.C., Agroexportaciones Dyciel E.I.R.L., Solsur Trading S.A.C., CEC Import Export Trading S.A.C., and Shuman Produce Perú S.A.C.
