In 2024, Peru's orange exports saw a significant surge with a 55% increase in volume and a 158% increase in value, amounting to 33,521 tons valued at $42.5 million. This growth was attributed to adverse weather conditions in major orange-producing countries like South Africa, the United States, Brazil, and Egypt, which disrupted global supply. The majority of the Peruvian oranges were exported as frozen (59%), followed by fresh oranges (34%) and orange juice (4%). The Netherlands was the primary importer, receiving 62% of the total shipments, followed by the United States and the United Kingdom.
