In March 2024, Peruvian pineapple exports experienced a remarkable surge, increasing by 158% from the previous year to reach 556 tons. The bulk of these exports, 86.5%, were destined for the United States, with Costa Rica, Chile, Spain, and Canada also being significant recipients. The exported pineapples were predominantly processed (82.5%), though frozen, fresh, juice, and dried forms were also exported. Leading the export market was Gandules Inc. S.A.C., accounting for 55.1% of the total exports, followed by Processing Laran S.A.C., Itaw Cargo S.A.C., Interglobo Perú S.A.C., and Andes Logistics del Perú S.A.C.
