Peruvian sugar production reached 900,121 tons between January and October 2024

(Agraria.pe) Between January and October 2024, sugarcane production by Peru amounted to 8,319,000 tons, reflecting an increase of +1.33% compared to the 8,217,000 tons reported in the same period of the previous year. This was reported by the Peruvian Association of Sugar and Derivatives Agroindustrialists (Perú Caña), with information from the Ministry of Agrarian Development and Irrigation (Midagri), which indicates that throughout 2023, national sugarcane production reached 10,089,000 tons, which meant an increase of +5.27% compared to the 9,584,000 tons obtained in 2022. In October of this year alone, sugarcane production reached 1,050,000 tons, showing an increase of +1% compared to what was reported in October 2023.
