The Commission for the Promotion of Peru for Export and Tourism (Promperú) recently showcased six micro and small companies from Peru at the World Food Moscow event in Russia, showcasing a variety of products including quinoa, chia, maca, cocoa, coffee, mangoes, and avocados. The event, which saw participation from over 1,500 companies across 65 countries, provided a platform for these Peruvian companies to negotiate with importers from the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU). In 2020, Peru's agricultural exports to Russia saw a 56.5% increase, reaching $94 million, and in the first seven months of 2021, exports to Russia totaled $62 million, marking an 19% increase from the previous year.
