In August 2024, Peru's tomato exports saw a significant decrease, with a total of 486 tons, marking a 75% drop compared to the same month in the previous year. Despite the decline, Peru managed to export to 7 countries, with Brazil and Colombia being the primary recipients, receiving 64% and 17% of the exports respectively. Notable exporters included Gastaldi Perú S.A.C. and Icatom S.A., which held 59% and 41% of the market share respectively. A total of 13 purchasing companies were also registered during this period.
