Philippine mangoes have now arrived and are available in several stores in Rome, Italy. In collaboration with the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry Italy (PCCI) and the Philippine Embassy in Rome, led by H.E. Ambassador Nathaniel Imperial and Agricultural Attaché Josyline Javelosa, the first commercial export of Philippine mangoes is now available in select Filipino stores in Rome. Last Monday, officials and members of PCCI, including Ambassador Imperial and Agricultural Attaché Javelosa, celebrated the official sale of mangoes at Pinoy Saver's Mart Battistini, one of the official distributors of the fruit from the Philippines. The first shipment reportedly reaches almost half a ton, and it is expected to continue. "This is only the beginning of a broad effort to lessen our country's wide trade deficit with Italy.
