Between January and November 2024, the Philippines imported over 1.3 million metric tons of meat, marking a increase of 127,000 MT from the previous year. Pork was the most imported meat type at 672,000 MT, followed by chicken at 435,501 MT. Brazil was the main supplier of pork imports, contributing 185,000 tons. This import volume is nearly as high as the record set in 2022.
