Researchers from Embrapa Goats and Sheep have identified the commercial pigeon pea cultivar Super N as the most suitable for the Brazilian semiarid region, due to its high productivity and potential to save on feeding for goats, sheep, and cattle. The study, which involved 21 genotypes over three years, found that Super N had 16% more grain productivity than the second best option. This could be a significant breakthrough for small and medium-sized producers in the region, reducing costs and increasing the nutritional balance of feed for animals.
