Peru exported local beans to South Korea for S/ 1.5 million between October and December of this year

(Agraria.pe) With a constant pace and promising development prospects, the project to plant 1,500 hectares of local beans led by the San Martín de Sechura Community Foundation is advancing, thanks to the support of the Sechura Mining Cluster trust, formed by the Government Regional of Piura (Gore Piura) and the National University of Piura. The regional director of Agriculture of Piura, Paul Loayza, reported that between October and December of this year, 15 containers of 20 and 30 tons of local beans have been shipped to South Korea, generating income of S/ 1.5 million for the benefit of approximately one thousand commoners. The official highlighted that the Regional Government of Piura seeks to consolidate the sustainability of this vegetable chain, with the purpose of offering it to various international markets.
