The Regional Government of Piura, through the Compete Fundable Program, inaugurated the new organic granulated panela processing plant of the Organized Economic Agent (AEO) Garllacsa S.R.L., located in the district of Paimas, Ayabaca province. This infrastructure will improve the production of this productive chain, ensure certifiable quality standards, and expand access to national and international markets for producers in the district. The new plant covers a total area of 742.40 m² and includes a 185 m² processing module, lightweight galvanized calamina roofing, brick walls, ceramic floors, concrete sidewalks, complete sanitary and electrical installations, as well as a septic tank and a percolation well that guarantee adequate conditions for the agro-industrial activity. The total investment amounts to S/528,738.05, of which the Regional Government of Piura contributed S/349,760.55, equivalent to 66%.
