The Regional Directorate of Agriculture of Piura is nearing completion of a project profile aimed at enhancing the mango production chain in 11 districts across the provinces of Piura, Morropón, Huancabamba, and Sullana, with a budget of S/25 million. This project seeks to bolster the local economy and promote sustainable development by providing comprehensive support to mango farmers, particularly those in associations or cooperatives. Key components of the initiative include the creation of a soil and foliar analysis laboratory, offering training and technical assistance to producers, and the development of 6 business plans to improve the sector's competitiveness and development. This endeavor is expected to significantly boost the production and marketing of mangoes in the region.
