The planting of the 2026 second-season corn in the Center-South of Brazil is proceeding at a rapid pace, reaching 13% of the projected area by last Thursday (29), according to a survey released by AgRural. The progress is significant compared to the previous week, when the sowing was at 5%, and exceeds the performance of the same period in the previous cycle, which recorded 9% of the planted crops. Among the producing states, Mato Grosso continues to be the standout, leading the pace of sowing. The good soil moisture and the rapid advancement of the soybean harvest have allowed for a more agile start to the work in the state.
