The Czech Republic and Slovakia are experiencing a decline in the area dedicated to seed potatoes, with a decrease in the total area to 2,778.18 hectares. Despite this, Europlant varieties remain popular, accounting for 33% of the total area in the Czech Republic and 71% in Slovakia. The most commonly grown Europlant varieties in the Czech Republic are Eurostarch and Antonia, while Laura is the favorite in Slovakia. Europlant has introduced several new varieties and plans to launch more in the future.
