Pork imports in September reached the maximum since 2022 — ASU

The Association of Pig Breeders of Ukraine reported on the course of pork exports and imports throughout January–September. Preliminary data from the customs statistics indicate that the import of chilled and frozen pork (HS Code 0203) in September exceeded 6,000 tons. The analytical department of the Association of Pig Breeders of Ukraine notes that this is 31% more than imported the month before and is the highest figure since January 2022. "Unlike last year, external supplies in 2025 noticeably intensified in response to weaker domestic pork supply and higher prices, and in the second half of the year, the average monthly arrivals of pork from abroad reached the levels of 2022. However, importers did not exceed the record figure of 6.6 thousand tons recorded in January 2022," the ASU noted.
