The exit of pigs (piglets for fattening and pigs for slaughter) dropped 19.5% in the 1st quarter of 2025 when compared with the same period of the previous year, going from 167,015 heads in 2024 to 130,630 heads in 2025 (-36,385 heads). Breaking down these numbers, 65,019 pigs were sent for slaughter, -32,177 heads compared to 2024, and 65,611 piglets for fattening, -4,208 heads compared to the previous year. The total weight of these animals dropped 23.1% compared to the previous year, going from 12,501 tons in 2024 to 9,608 tons in 2025. Thus, the total weight of slaughter pigs was 8,293 tons, which gives an average weight of 127.3kg LW, and the total weight of piglets was 1,315 tons, which gives an average weight of 20.0kg LW.
