Potato plantations have seen faster growth due to improved weather in mid-May and June, but the lack of consistent rainfall and high temperatures have led to varied plantation conditions, preventing the full potential yield from being reached. As a result, the quality of this year's harvest is expected to be average. There has been a slight expansion in the area dedicated to potato cultivation, largely due to the favorable market conditions seen last season. The potato yield for this year is projected to increase by approximately 2% from the previous year, reaching 301 dt/ha, and the harvest is expected to be around 5.8 million tonnes, marking a 5% increase from the previous year.
