Potato prices rose last week, according to a survey by Hortifrúti/Cepea. From October 6 to 10, the average price of special agate type potato was R$ 46/sc of 25 kg in the wholesale market of São Paulo, an increase of 22.2% compared to the previous period. In the wholesale markets of Rio de Janeiro and Belo Horizonte, the increases were even higher, at 38.5% and 31.6%, to R$ 52/sc and R$ 45/sc, respectively.
