Poultry meat production in Brazil should rise up to 1.5% in 2022 and 2% in 2023

Porto Alegre, December 15, 2022 – The Brazilian Association of Animal Protein (ABPA) projected, in an online press conference held today, that chicken meat production should reach 14.5 million tons this year, number 1 .5% higher than last year, with 14.329 million tons. The projected volume for 2023 could reach up to 14.750 million tons, a volume 2% higher compared to 2022. In exports, projections point to total shipments this year of up to 4.850 million tons, a number 5% higher than that achieved in 2021, with 4.610 million tons. In 2023, international sales could reach 5.200 million tons, a volume that exceeds projected exports for 2022 by 8.5%. The internal supply of chicken meat in 2022 should reach up to 9.7 million tons, 0.2% less than the volume offered in 2021, of 9.719 million tons.
