Poultry prices in the local market have stabilized due to the release of feed ingredients and large imports of poultry. The price of white chickens at the farm is 66 EGP per kilo, reaching 70 EGP per kilo in stores, while red chicken (Sasso) is 110 EGP per kilo at the farm and 115 EGP per kilo in stores. The price stability is attributed to the recent release of feed ingredients and imports, following a potential increase due to the Russian-Ukrainian war's impact on feed prices and shipping costs. Egypt, which achieves self-sufficiency with its annual production of 1.4 million R poultry, has a labor-intensive industry that employs nearly 3 million workers and requires about 100 billion pounds in investments.
