Soybean producers in Paraná, Brazil, are projected to produce a record-breaking 20.89 million tons in the first 2022/2023 harvest, a 70% increase from the previous harvest, according to the Subjective Crop Forecast (PSS) by the Department of Rural Economy (Deral). The current grain harvest stands at 17% of the area, with 85% of the crops in good conditions. However, the increased production is putting downward pressure on prices, with the average price paid to producers in February being the lowest in the last 12 months.
