Predicting the areas under sugar beet cultivation in 2026 is difficult: farmers are postponing decisions due to prices.

At present, the price factor does not allow for a clear prediction of the next season. Currently, many producers are postponing decisions regarding areas under sugar beet until they understand the final profitability of other crops (corn, soy, sunflower). This was stated by Yana Kavushevska, head of the National Association of Sugar Producers of Ukraine. However, as practice shows, even during a period of low sugar prices, many agricultural producers do not abandon sugar beet in crop rotation.
