The inspection was carried out in all 16 voivodeships. Commercial entities for inspection were selected by the voivodeship IJHARS inspectorates. According to the control programme, the inspectors checked large-area stores and large grocery stores. The quality and labeling of fresh fruit and vegetables were assessed in terms of compliance with the requirements set out in EU and national regulations. The inspection inspected a total of 69 retail stores operating within 10 retail chains. Various types of irregularities were found in 24 entities (i.e. 34.8 percent of the inspected entities).
