The National Thanksgiving Turkeys, Peach and Blossom, were presented to President Joseph R. Biden Jr. by John Zimmerman, Chairman of the National Turkey Federation, marking the 77th year of this tradition. The turkeys were raised in Northfield, Minn., by the Zimmerman family and have been pardoned, allowing them to reside at Farmamerica in Minnesota. The National Turkey Federation and the Minnesota Turkey Growers Association were warmly welcomed by President Biden, and the turkeys were prepared for their debut at the White House by Grant Zimmerman. After their visit to the White House, Peach and Blossom will retire to Farmamerica, where they will serve as agricultural ambassadors for Minnesota.
