REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- The National Food Agency (Bapanas) is taking the issue of national food security more seriously. This time, they are expanding the implementation of the Save Food Movement (GSP) to cover 17 provinces in Indonesia. Since its launch in 2022, the movement has shown real results: saving more than 224 tons of food and distributing it to over 456 thousand beneficiaries. This strategic step is part of a massive effort to ensure that edible food is not wasted. During the National Retail Day 2025 in Jakarta, Thursday (11/6/2025), Bapanas Chief Secretary, Sarwo Edhy, emphasized the importance of synergy among all parties in promoting this food-saving movement.
