Price growth for pork and chicken in Russia accelerated to 1.5% over the week

Moscow. August 16th. INTERFAX.RU - Consumer prices for pork in Russia for the week from August 8 to 14 rose by 1.54%, for chicken meat - by 1.53%, Rosstat said on Wednesday. Compared to the previous week, the pace of growth accelerated. Then pork went up by 1.3%, chicken - by 1.2%. Since the beginning of the year, prices for pork have increased by 5.9%, for chicken meat - by 14.6%. Rosstat also reported that beef prices increased by 0.14% over the week against 0.15% a week earlier. Growth in prices for mutton slowed down a bit - to 0.11% from 0.19% a week earlier.
