Price of milk falls for the sixth month in Mato Grosso

According to the weekly analysis of the Mato Grosso Institute of Agricultural Economics (Imea), released on Monday (9), for the sixth consecutive month, the price of milk paid to the producer in Mato Grosso registered a drop. In December 2025, the average value received for the milk collected was R$ 1.77 per liter, a decrease of 4.02% compared to the previous month. The reduction was related to the increase in milk collection in the period, mainly due to the improvement in the quality of pastures, favored by the advance of rains in the state. Imea points out that the greater availability of forage contributed to the increase in the supply of raw material, putting pressure on producer prices. Despite the drop observed throughout the last semester of 2025, the annual average showed a growth of 1.05% compared to 2024, with the Mato Grosso milk producer receiving, on average, R$ 2.19 per liter in the year.
